Groundwork for a national energy plan

What it addresses

Argentina’s electricity system from 2005 to 2025 and the decisions towards 2030, with a horizon to 2040 and 2060.

Twenty years of Argentina’s electricity system examined through public data: demand, generation balance, hydropower, transmission, the market, storage, distributed generation, territory, foresight and science applied to finding solutions. On that basis, the decisions that planning must address towards 2030. Each claim declares its status, each figure carries its source and each calculation can be repeated.

What changed from the first edition (August 2026, 35 pages)

The first edition, Del cambio de la matriz a la transformación del sistema eléctrico argentino, 2005-2025, was published without being considered finished. This edition rewrites it entirely: eleven chapters and a conclusion, compared with the first edition’s six areas; five new chapters (the market, storage, distributed generation, foresight towards 2035 with a horizon to 2060, and science applied to finding solutions); a traceability method with five declared statuses across all 947 claims; cross-verification between AI models from different providers, so that none reviews its own work, and direct reading of the sources where the models disagreed; eleven figures rebuilt from the data; and a cover showing the country’s relief, created by the author in QGIS from the ETOPO 2022 model.

How to read it

Each claim ends with a symbol: ▲ read in an external source, ■ calculated by the author from primary series, ● inferred with its premises, ◆ chosen or proposed by the author, △ without a retrievable source. The number refers to the source index, which occupies 62 of the 155 pages. Chapter 0 explains the method and the use of AI.
